Not only had the tournament broke previous records, but also cash games. New records in the number of tables were set - the previous record was 12 poker tables from 2018, set by the Cash Game Festival. This time, it was 19 tables at one time! The finalists, after settling at the final table, were ready to fight for the title of Polish Poker Championship champion. The introduction of the final table did not bring happiness to our representatives. The first victim of the final table was Peťo Eliáš, who did not dial AJ into the 5´s of the opponent and took home a reward of 4,078€ for his performance.

Ľuboš Jakab followed Eliáš steps, leaving the tournament in seventh place, when as a shortstack he sent his chips in with an ace and a four and Matúš Gabzdil found a pair of jacks. Five new cards on board didn't make any difference, and Jakab left with 5,257€. Not even fifteen minutes passed and another "seat open" sounded! Miro Lelek was eliminated by Gorsky. Miro left the championship with the reward of 6,962€.

After the elimination of Miro Lelek, the ratio of the home versus Polish players remained in the ratio of 1 to 4. The fifth place was taken by Jaroslav Nowak for 9,945€, eliminated by Matúš Gabzdila. The fourth place also ended in Polish hands, when Wesolowski moved all in with A9 offsuit, followed by Widz all-in with eights. Lucky Matúš Gabzdil found a combination of two kings on the big blind and of course called. Five cards did not endanger the king and that meant fourth place for Wesolowski with 13,708€ and the huge chip lead for the home player Matúš Gabzdil!

After this three-way all-in, the ratio of poker forces was as follows:

  • Gabzdil - 116,000,000
  • Gorski - 33,000,000
  • Widz - 19,000,000

The remaining three players agreed to stop the tournament timer and recalculate the deal option. Had they agreed? The very first attempt was successful and the trio redistributed the remaining part, plus game continued for 10,000€, a gold bracelet and the title of Polish Champion!

  • Matúš Gabzdil - 34,000 €
  • Piotr Gorski - 28,000 €
  • Damian Widz - 24,000 €

Immediately after the deal, Damian Widz said goodbye to the tournament, taking home a beautiful 24,000€ from Banco Casino. The home player from Košice, Matúš Gabzdil, and Piotr Gorski met in the headsup!

It didn't take very long and the biggest poker tournament in Slovakia met its champion. The last Polish representative, Piotr Gorski, took second place and took home a beautiful 28,000€.

The Polish Poker Championship at Banco Casino was dominated by Matúš Gabzdil, a talent from Košice, who won 44,000€, a gold bracelet and the title of Polish Champion. Banco Casino warmly congratulates and thanks to all participating players who have created a wonderful poker experience for everyone!
