CHRISTOPHER HILLINGER BECOMES THE SLOVAK POKER OPEN 2026 CHAMPION AND TAKES HOME €40,585 FROM BANCO BRATISLAVA!

We have the name of the new Slovak Poker Open champion – Austrian player Christopher Hillinger, who turned a €250 buy-in into a €40,585 victory. In two weeks, Banco will host another international event, the Euro Poker Championship, featuring a €250,000 GTD Main Event. This week, fans of one-day tournaments can also look forward to action with affordable buy-ins!

The Slovak Poker Open 2026 has officially concluded, and this successful edition culminated in the Main Event final day, which was available via livestream.

 

The festival will be smoothly followed by another major series – the Euro Poker Championship, taking place from April 27 to May 4, 2026. The highlight will once again be the €250,000 guaranteed Main Event with a buy-in of €220 + €30. EPC will bring players from many countries to Bratislava and promises a week full of high-quality tournament action and exciting cash games.

The weekend will feature two one-day tournaments with very friendly buy-ins – Friday Ladies Night €3,000 GTD for just €30, and Saturday’s €10,000 GTD event for €50.

The Slovak Poker Open Main Event at Banco Bratislava recorded 1,211 entries, and yesterday the final 16 players took their seats at the last two tables. Seven eliminations stood between them and the formation of the final table under the spotlight of TV cameras. After three hours of play, the final table was set.

Christopher Hillinger from Austria, who played an excellent game throughout, claimed the victory, turning his €250 into €40,585, along with a ticket to the €250,000 GTD Euro Poker Championship, which takes place in two weeks at Banco Bratislava.
