Poker Summer Continues in Full Force – Banco Bratislava to Host the Swedish Poker Championship and the Record-Breaking Summer Polish Poker Cup This August

Following an exceptionally successful July, the poker summer at Banco Bratislava continues with two more international festivals that will once again attract hundreds of players from across Europe. The action kicks off at the beginning of August with the traditional Swedish Poker Championship, which this year introduces a historic milestone – the very first open €250,000 GTD Main Event. Just one week later, the Summer Polish Poker Cup takes over, one of the largest and most successful poker series in Central Europe, renowned for its massive fields and outstanding atmosphere.

A Historic Milestone for the Swedish Poker Championship

The Swedish Poker Championship returns to Banco Bratislava for the fourth time, once again bringing its unique Scandinavian poker atmosphere to Slovakia. This year's biggest highlight is the historic introduction of the open Banco Championship Main Event, allowing players from all over the world to compete for the title for the very first time, instead of being limited exclusively to Swedish players.

The Main Event features a €250,000 guaranteed prize pool with a €550 buy-in, and the new open format is expected to significantly expand the international player field. Organizers anticipate more than 350 players from Sweden, joined by hundreds of poker enthusiasts from all over Europe.

In addition to the headline tournament, the festival schedule includes a wide selection of side events and an exceptionally attractive cash game area. As poker players know, the Scandinavian community is famous for bringing action to the tables, making the Banco cash games one of the biggest highlights of the entire festival.

Summer Polish Poker Cup Once Again Proves Its Strength

Only a few days after the Swedish festival concludes, the spotlight shifts to the Summer Polish Poker Cup, a series that has established itself as one of Europe's most successful poker festivals over the past few years. Every edition continues to break attendance records, filling Banco Bratislava with players from Poland, Slovakia, and dozens of other countries.

The festival's main attraction will once again be the €250,000 GTD Main Event with an incredibly attractive €150 buy-in. This combination of an affordable entry fee, a massive guarantee, and world-class organization has made the Summer Polish Poker Cup one of the most popular poker destinations in Central Europe.

Throughout the week, Banco Bratislava will transform into the center of the international poker community. Thousands of tournament entries are expected across the festival schedule, accompanied by numerous high-action cash game tables and the electric atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Polish Poker Cup. Once again, the series will demonstrate why it ranks among the largest and most successful poker festivals ever organized at Banco Bratislava.

August Brings World-Class International Poker

August will deliver two unique yet equally exciting poker festivals to Bratislava. The Swedish Poker Championship will make history by opening its Main Event to the international poker community for the very first time, while the Summer Polish Poker Cup will continue its long-standing tradition of record-breaking attendance and massive tournament fields. Throughout August, Banco Bratislava will once again reinforce its reputation as one of Central Europe's premier poker destinations, welcoming thousands of players competing for prestigious titles, substantial prize pools, and an unforgettable poker experience. And the excitement doesn't stop there—after August, poker enthusiasts can still look forward to several spectacular poker festivals coming to Banco Bratislava before the end of 2026.
