SSOP 2017 - MONSTERSTACK & PLO: DAVID CUCUJKIČ AND PETER LAUČEK ARE NEW CHAMPIONS

Wednesday afternoon in Banco Casino Bratislava, the largest poker casino in Slovakia, the third playing day of the Slovak Series Of Poker festival took place. It was a lot of going on- two gold bracelets with a total value of 5,000€ and two champion titles of this successful series were in the game. How did the Monsterstack and Pot-Limit Omaha events turn out?

The first two-day Monsterstack Event had a final day on the program, where 13 promising winners presented themselves. But since there can be only one winner, they had to fight. When there were ten players left in the game, everyone was wondering who will make it to the final table. Poker can sometimes be very random and all sudden we saw a double all-in and a double seat open by Plavák and Herdin.

The final table of the Monsterstack was set up by eight players, who were initially led by the Austrian player David Cucojkič. Chipcount of the final table:

After three eliminations from the final table, Koncz, Németh and a member of the legendary H16 Juraj "Cigo" Wertlen were ordered from the game; and the remaining five players agreed on a deal with an overtime of 826€ and an SSOP bracelet. The home team's Pavel Pálffy fought his way into the heads-up and David Cucojkič stood against him. Our representative pulled for a shorter end and the victory, together with a reward of 2,597€, went into the hands of David Cucojkič. Congratulations!

At seven in the evening, the third bracelet-event Pot-Limit Omaha started. A search for "four card" champion could begin. Admission 100€ + 10€ attracted 61 omaha enthusiasts, who together created 83 entries, with the prize pool 8,051€ and the winner was awarded with a prize of 2,214€. Names such as Marek Blaško, Michal Masaryk, Roland Weag, Marek Krupár, Peter Lauček, Róbert Obrtlík, Boris Gál, František Rovanský, Ľubo Bubo, Igor Panák, Nico Kvasai, Samo Marušinec and Libor Bombala experienced an omaha event while another quality event was created at at Banco Casino Bratislava.

Before the final table, the last ten players agreed that the loser would receive a reward of 150€, which will be withdrawn from all places, so the winner after this agreement was entitled to a reward of  2,189€.

The home player Peter Lauček became the champion of the "four cards", in other words winner of Pot-Limit Omaha Slovak Series Of Poker, who managed to beat Pavel Guriš in a heads-up. Lauček won a prize of 2,189€ and a gold bracelet designed only for the SSOP champion. Congratulations!
