SSOP 2017: HEARTS UP CHAMPION BECAME MARTIN “BOLKO“BOLEČEK!

The Slovak Series Of Poker, taking place at Banco Casino Bratislava, had its sixth day on the program, which brought a nerve-wracking drama to the National Heads Up Championship and the final opening day of the Championship, where a guarantee of 40,000€ was set.

The National Heads Up Championship started from four o'clock in the afternoon and those present had the opportunity to watch the beautiful poker games, with no shortage of action. At the beginning of the day, wild cards were drawn and Secci together with Desset received free cards, since two opponents were missing, which means a 15,000€ prize pool for the entire tournament. The first round of man-to-man battles was won by Matej Závack, Marek Tatár, Marek Blašek, Ľuboš Polakovič, Martin Boleček, Szaszko Bencz, Peter Bok, Ján Brandejs, Patrik Ciklamini, Georg Livanos and Martin Vladjin.

The National Heads Up Championship started its final day in which eight players secured a seat, so we saw four pairs fighting not only for advancing to the semi-finals, but also for paid seats. All four matches ended with a clear result of 2: 0 for Boleček, Ciklamíni, Desset and last year's champion Závacký. This four got into paid positions and everyone had a certain 2,000€ at that moment.

The first duel took place between Martin Boleček and Matej Závacký. Martin Boleček, called by everyone Bolko, dealt with Matej Závacký 2: 0 and last year's champion did not defend the title. The second duel lasted a little longer and the young generation of poker players, Dominik Desset and Patrik Ciklamíni, performed a poker performance worth of the semi-finals. It was a long-distance fight, as neither of them wanted to lose the opportunity to fight for the prestigious title of Heads Up champion in Slovakia. In the end, it ended with a 2: 1 score for Patrik Ciklamíni.

Martin Boleček and Patrík Ciklamíni competed against each other in the final heads-up. After an hour of play, the state of the duel was balanced, and the actors took a short break to rest. After the break, they went back to the table to play the final games. Bolko took the lead 2: 1, which lasted very shortly, and the state was again quite equal. At that moment, the pair agreed on a deal of 4,750€ and an overtime of 1,500€ associated with the title of champion.

The winner of this exciting tournament, where a one-on-one duel took place, became Martin "Bolko" Boleček from Košice. Bolko took home 6,250 Euros from the tournament and the title of Heads Up champion for 2017. A member of Borovička team beat everyone who came across his way and can be proud of the title of National Heads Up Championship. Congratulations!
