SSOP 2017 - CHAMPIONSHIP 40,000€ GTD: GOLD BRACELET FOR ROMAN LAKATOŠ!

Each multi-day tournament has its final day, and the Slovak Series Of Poker and its 40,000€ guaranteed Championship Event is no exception. Sunday afternoon at Banco Casino Bratislava belonged exclusively to the final day of the “bracelet” event, in which 107 players secured a promotion place. Only one of them could become a champion and wear a valuable gold bracelet.

The Championship recorded a total of 429 entries and participants could share the 45,775€ prize pool.  The best 45 players of the whole event could reach for a part of the prize pool, while the biggest part- 10,036€ belonged to the new champion. Min-cash in this tournament started at 275€, so there was something to fight for from the start, but of course everyone was staring at the top spots.

Names like Alojz Bachar (40th), Jakub Janošovský (36th), Marek Homola (35th), Pavel Pálffy (34th), Andrej Gecler (33rd), Pavol Melichár (30th), Igor Remenár (27th) , Nebo Ankucič (26th), Marián Lai (25th), Rado Jakubec (23rd), Ľubo Žákovič (20th), Michal Kvanta (14th), Anita Mudrochová (11th) or Jaroslav Pipiška (10th) did not reach the final table, but they did not leave Banco Casino Bratislava empty handed, as they all ended up in paid positions.

At eleven o'clock in the evening, nine of the best made it to the final table, including well-known Slovak player Roman Lakatoš as a chipleader. Final table chipcount looked like this:

  • Martonka Martin - 995000
  • Gritsch Fabian - 820000
