FROM SHORTSTACK TO CHAMPION IN BANCO CASINO MASTERS- TOMÁŠ SZABO WINS 25,037€!

The six-day poker ride in the Banco Casino once again changed the history of the largest regular poker tournament in Slovakia. A new entry record for the Banco Casino Masters was set at 957 registrations, the tournament prize pool was raised at an incredible 162,690€, as well as many other factors proved that the Banco Casino Masters is one of the best tournaments on the poker scene.

The last fifteen players remaining from the 957 entries returned to Banco Casino Bratislava before 4:00 pm to set up all their acquired chips on the poker tables in front of them. The fight for the title of Masters Champion, which was associated with a reward of 25,037€ together with a BCM ticket for the upcoming Masters, could start.

The final day started at level 26 with blinds of 30,000 / 60,000 and an ante of 60,000 chips. Six players had to drop out of the tournament to get to know the final table. Didn’t take long and Damian Goik, Roman Škrteľ, Miroslav Knaperek, Vladimir Baranai and Zolnai Peter were ordered from the game and left the table. Last gentleman that dropped out before the final table was set up was Zsolt Szabo.

At the final table, nine players were traditionally introduced, initially dominated by Pavol Kováč with almost 8 million chips:

The final table started at a light pace, which later on graduated and Marcel Olgyay, Pavol Kováč, Lukáš Matuský, Harald Redl, Richard Miklošovič, Juraj Picek left the tournament. Tomáš Chmela finished in third place with 11,017€.

In the final heads-up, Dragan Sudimac and Tomáš Szabo faced each other, while Tomáš held a huge chip lead. He resisted all of the ambushes and finished in the sense of "From Zero To Hero" to the very end. From the short stack of the final day we met the new champion of the Banco Casino Masters Tomáš Szabo, who took home a beautiful 25,037€ and a ticket to the upcoming Masters. Congratulations!
