Day 1c of the €300,000 guaranteed Festival Series Bratislava €550 Main Event at Banco Casino Bratislava was a massive success as it more than doubled the field size from 240 entries to 485 entries with 245 entries getting into the action. More are still to come with the turbo Day 1d ongoing and late registration and re-entries permitted for two blind levels during Friday's Day 2.

A total of 89 players survived nearly doubling the number of players that bagged chips to Day 2 to 181 players.

Sweden's Timothy Harold bagged the biggest stack of the day of 192,800 in chips closely followed by Pokercode Head of Play Daniele Grassi, Filip Sramka, Markus Ganglbauer, and David Vedral.

Meanwhile, David Vedral, Nicolas Steils, Ed Mondo, Miroslav Lelek, Marian Flesar, and Patrick Jowa all bagged top ten stacks on Day 1c.

Also of note is that poker player, streamer, and occasional commentator Bobby James (80,500) bagged a decent stack of 80,500 into Day 2.

A total of 89 players bagged chips out of the 245-entry strong Day 1c field.

The turbo-charged Day 1d will kick off shortly after the conclusion of Day 1c at 10 p.m. CEST. The action for now is scheduled to take place downstairs in the casino instead of in the tournament arena.

It appears like Italy's Daniele Grassi, who just began his position of Head of Play at the poker training site Pokercode might end Day 1c on a high note after winning a massive pot with ace-high as follows.

Juho Heiska three-bet over an opener for 5,800. Grassi flat-called from the small blind and the original opener got out of the way.

Grassi checked the flop before Heiska jammed for 50,000. Grassi made the call and players turned over their cards.

The turn and river blanked both players and Grassi won the hand with ace-high.

The final blind level of Day 1c has just kicked off. The Day 1c field has ballooned to 244 entries with 111 players remaining.

This more than doubles the field size with Day 1a and Day 1b combined attracting a total of 240 entries.

Juraj Valasky bet 7,500 into a pot of 12,000 on the board after the turn. Hadell Borgi raised to 18,000 before Valasky quickly jammed to 44,000. Borgi called for a good portion of his stack and players showed their cards.

Borgi was drawing dead and Valasky doubled up after a blank came on the river. Shortly after, Borgi dusted off the rest of his stack and hasn't re-entered as of yet on Day 1c.

Bobby James opened for 2,500 from early position and was called by a player from middle position.

Both players checked the flop. James bet 2,500 on the turn and got a call. He bet again for 12,500 on the river and was called again. James turned over to win the hand with his opponent only having .

James got cowboys the very next hand as well but gave up on the hand facing significant action on an ace-high flop.

Players are on their final break of the day.

Both players checked the flop before James bet 1,500 on the turn. The player in the cutoff called before the river completed the board.

James fired out for 16,100 and the player in the cutoff called. James turned over for a flopped full house which was more than good enough to beat his opponent's

The Festival Series Founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk just nailed a straight flush as follows.

Von Zweigbergk bet 3,500 on the flop and was called by Tiikka Tiensuu. The followed on the turn and von Zweigbergk 21,000. Tiensuu went into the tank for several minutes before he called.

Tiensuu nailed a straight on the turn to get ahead of von Zweigbergk's flush. However, the completed the board on the river to give von Zweigbergk a rare straight flush to send Tiensuu to the rail.

Anna Janina Malmi bet 6,000 into a pot of about 20,000 after the came on the flop. Milos Zerzevski raised to 16,000 and Malmi went into the tank for several minutes before she three-bet to 32,000. Zerzevski jammed for 57,000 and Malmi went back into the tank before eventually folding.

"You show, I show?" asked Zerzevski.

Malmi didn't respond or show her hand while Zerzevski chipped up without a showdown.

Martin Ilavsky bet more than the about 25,000 Norbert Bundik had remaining in his stack with about 30,000 in the pot on the board.

Bundik went into the tank for several minutes before another player apologized for calling the clock. Bundik called before time ran out but likely wished he found a fold. Ilavsky turned over for quad tens to send Bundik to the rail with .

Daniele Grassi open-jammed for 10,100 from middle position and was called by Martin Dahle from the big blind.

Both players flopped two pair on the flop with Grassi well ahead. Blanks came on the turn and river and Grassi doubled through Dahle straight off the break.

Players are on a 20-minute break.

Marc Pliska was down to half a starting stack when he jammed over a bet by Andrej Imrich on the flop. Imrich made the call and players turned over their cards.

Bricks came on the turn and river and Pliska doubled up back to where he began the day.

Day 1a and Day 1b combined for 240 entries with 90 survivors. It looks possible that Day 1c will eclipse both combined with the field already at 207 entries with 151 players remaining.

Carlos Pezzia bet 3,600 into a pot of around 10,000 on the flop. The action paused on Peter Bergman before he three-bet to 12,200. Pezzia tanked for less than a minute before he jammed for 35,000. A couple of minutes ticked off the clock before Bergman made the call.

Pezzia was ahead but he still had a sweat. Pezzia doubled up through Bergman after his opponent bricked the turn and river.

Nikolaos Tsitos jammed for about 8,000 from early position before Markus Ganglbauer three-bet shoved for around 50,000 from one seat over. The action didn't stop there as Lukas Pribyl called off for about a starting stack from one seat over.

Ganglbauer's cowboys held up after the ran out on the board to eliminate both Pribyl and Tsitos.

Patrick Beuter three-bet jammed for 13,000 from late position and was called by Marc Pliska from middle position.

Beuter pulled ahead in the flip right from the start after his king paired up the flop. Neither the turn nor the river helped Beuter get ahead and Pliska doubled back to near a starting stack.

Stefan Rundstrom opened to 1,200 from the lojack and got called by Martin von Zweigbergk from the hijack. Didier Pirard three-bet to 4,500 from the cutoff. Rundstrom folded and von Zweigbergk called.

Pirard continued for 5,000 on the flop and von Zweigbergk check-called. The Festival Series founder von Zweigbergk then jammed for 3,200 on the turn. Rundstrom sighed before he folded despite there being a chunk of chips in the pot.

As the dealer began awarding the pot to von Zweigbergk he showed the table he had two pair with . Pirard said he had jacks but never showed.

Ed Mondo three-bet jammed for about 12,000 into a small pot on the flop and was called by Mario Eder.

Mondo began to stand up with Eder flopping the nuts and officially left the tournament area after the turn and river completed the board.

The Festival Series founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk is often known to enter an event and quickly go all-in. "Franke" just entered the Main Event and PokerNews witnessed him folding an entire orbit except defending his big blind to the surprise of the table.

Robert Baluska checked with 10,000 in the pot on the on the board. Maksym Ronshyn bet 8,000 and Baluska went into the tank for a couple of minutes before he found a call.

Ronshyn turned over but this wasn't good enough to win the hand as Baluska rivered top pair with .

There is one final chance to get into The Festival Series Bratislava Main Event for much cheaper than the €550 buy-in.

At 5 p.m. CEST, Banco Casino Bratislava will host a €35 satellite where three Main Event tickets are guaranteed. Best of luck to all that play.

Players are on their first 20-minute break of the day. The field grew to 149 entries with 134 players remaining at the start of the break.

Pavol Kurtulik bet 3,300 into a pot of around 5,000 with the on the board. Tim Gerwig went into the tank for a minute before he raised to 12,500. It was Kurtulik's turn to think before he eventually made the call.

Gerwig turned over for a rivered set to win the hand after Kurtilik mucked his cards.

Patrick Beuter bet 2,000 from the big blind into a pot of 5,300 after the landed on the flop and Marc Pliska called from the button.

Pliska then called a bigger bet of 5,000 on the turn before the river completed the board. Beuter jammed for around 20,000. Pliska went into the tank for more than a minute before he folded.

Players were in for a treat as The Festival Series treated its qualifiers and VIPs to a luxurious Italian dinner and wine tasting. Later in the evening, a huge crowd was in for a barrel of laughs with The Festival Series renting out a local cabaret.

The Day 1c field has blossomed to 103 entries with 102 players remaining. This figure will continue to grow throughout the day but today is shaping up to be the biggest opening day field thus far in the Main Event.

Henry Mania bet approximately half the pot with a bet of 4,500 with the board.

Peder Paulsen tanked for a minute before he made the call. Fridman held for top pair and won the hand after Mania tossed his cards into the muck.

The drinks are already flowing early on Day 1c as players continue to file in. Thus far the field is up to 79 entries with 78 players remaining.

Rupert Derler was witnessed leaving the tournament area and it was confirmed he was the first bust out of Day 1c.

Rolf Galaasen bet what appeared to be a pot-sized bet of 1,500 after two players checked the flop and got called by Frans Carlevag and Peder Paulsen.

Carlevag and Paulsen both checked the turn. Galaasen bet 2,600. Carlevag folded and Paulsen called.

Both players checked after the completed the board. Paulsen turned over for top pair.

"He has a better kicker," Galaasen said to the dealer as he flashed him a card and tossed his hand into the muck.

New players have been taking their seats during the early moments of Level 1 and the Day 1c field has already grown to 54 entries.

Rupert Derler bet 1,000 into a pot of around 3,000 with the on the board after the turn. Mihaly Jancso raised to 3,500 and Derler called.

Derler checked the river. Jancso quickly bet 4,500 and Derler called. Jancso turned over for two pair. Derler tapped the table to signal 'nice hand' as he mucked his cards.
